Motörbreath were founded in 2003 by Bass Player Fränk Helbig, Guitarist Stefan Höppe and Drummer Dirk Schäper. After a short period of practicing in their rehearsal room, the Heissmangel in Schwarme, they soon celebrated their first gig. Songs like Pedophiler, Nekrophiler Sodomist, from their self-titled first album, became very pouplar. So the band started touring all over Europe where they played sold out shows in the biggest stadiums. They also played the big Festivals like Roskilde, Rock am Ring or Download.
Soon Europe was not enough for the young band and so they started entering the United States, where they produced their second album RIFFTOC with the legendary Rick Rubin, who later said "Forget Metallica, MOTÖRBREATH ist the future og Heavy Metal!" As anticipated the ablum entered the No. 1 position of the album charts in the first week of its publishing an stayed there for over 10 months. The band played the biggest festivals in the U.S. and also won different Grammys and other awards. After being introduced into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in mid 2004 Motörbreath became tired of the success and all the groupies and so they concluded to split the band, because there was nothing to achieve for them anymore. 
But now, in 2013, they decited to play a one night only show to celebrate their 10th anniversary!d
